Miro Woody: Wooden lights

“I tell the stories coming to my dreams, while I am more than ever awake.
Stories blown to me by the wind, enlightened by the first rays of the morning sun, whispered by the life-giving rain…
Stories coming from deep within the heart of the wood, soaked in its annual rings, where every inch means years, seasons, destinies.
Wood is a material of wisdom. It grows slowly, incorporating the essence of time and matter in each piece of itself.
You don’t just cut the wood; you carefully follow its lines to unveil the intrinsic form of its structure, where its wonderful stories are written.
Wood brought light to the people in ancient times. With the light it brought the understanding, that was needed to replace fear.
But after this sacrifice, it remains only ashes and dust.
This is why I make lamps and candle holders, to help the wood give its light of irreplaceable warmth, without turning to ash.” – https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/MiroWoody?ref=l2-shopheader-name
